Twenty years in design. Seven years with a completely different lens.

Designer. Author. Keynote speaker. I read what a space is doing to the people inside it, and I design the ones that give it back.

Etienny Trindade

For twenty years I designed the classrooms, homes, and workplaces people spend their lives inside.

And I kept seeing the same thing. Change the environment, and the person changes with it. Not with more effort. Not with more discipline. The room did the work.

We built the modern world for an average nervous system that no real person actually has. So the most capable people quietly carry a load the design created, and blame themselves for feeling it. I decided to name that, and to build the alternative.

The moment it became the work
I designed one classroom for neurodivergent children. Nothing about the children changed, and nothing about the teaching. Only the room. And the children settled, concentrated, and learned with ease. The environment was never neutral. So I decided to design it on purpose.

I am neurodivergent. I feel a space before I can explain it, the light that is wrong, the sound no one else has named, the layout the body does not trust. For most of my life that sensitivity was treated as too much. It is the instrument. It is the whole work.

Today I bring that to organisations losing their best people to environments they cannot see, and to a small number of private clients who want their own home designed to the standard they hold everywhere else.
