For workplaces
For HR leaders, People & Culture teams, Chief Wellbeing Officers, and inclusion teams looking for a keynote that goes underneath movement and mindset, into the operational layer most retention strategies miss.
Keynote Speaking · Workplaces, Schools, Conferences
Why are your engagement scores slipping when you have done everything the consultants told you to do? Why is the same employee, the same student, the same audience member, performing differently in two different rooms? And why is no one inside your wellbeing strategy talking about it?
That is the conversation Etienny brings to your stage. The layer underneath every wellbeing program your competitors are still building.
Available across Australia · Virtual and in person · Founding speaker fees available
Have you ever wondered why one room makes your team think faster, and another room makes the same team go quiet? Have you noticed that the wellness app, the standing desk, the resilience training, all stop working at the same point? What if the layer you have been missing is sitting around your people every hour they are inside your building?
Why this work exists
Then one classroom changed everything.
A redesigned learning environment for neurodivergent children. Within weeks, every educator was telling me the same sentence.
"The children are different."
Not the curriculum. Not the educators.
The room.
For the last seven years, I have only worked through that lens. The same science that was healing those children was being mirrored, in reverse, inside the boardrooms I had spent the previous thirteen years fitting out. Spaces engineered for productivity that were quietly extracting it.
I bring this to your stage for one reason. Once your team sees it, they cannot unsee it. And from that moment on, the rooms quietly start to work for them.
Who Etienny speaks to
Whatever the room, the same nervous system rules apply. The work changes the room. The room changes the people in it.
For HR leaders, People & Culture teams, Chief Wellbeing Officers, and inclusion teams looking for a keynote that goes underneath movement and mindset, into the operational layer most retention strategies miss.
For principals, Heads of Wellbeing, Directors of Teaching & Learning, and educator professional development looking for a speaker who bridges the science, the classroom, and the home.
For wellbeing summits, women's leadership events, education conferences, and parent forums looking for a fresh angle the audience has not heard a hundred times before.
The signature keynote
This is not a renovation pitch.
It is an awareness keynote. Once your team sees how the brain and the nervous system read a room, hour by hour, they cannot unsee it. The leaders walk out with the strategic case. The staff walk out knowing what to shift at their own desk by Monday morning.
No capital. No renovation. No permission required. Just a room of people who finally understand what their environment has been asking of them.
60 minutes. The science of how light, air, acoustics, biophilia, sensory load, and neuroaesthetics measurably shape focus, recovery, decisions, and regulation. Backed by the studies your team can quote in their next meeting:
Every one of those numbers is sitting inside your organisation right now.
You will be the leader who names them. Or the leader who keeps paying for them.
Once people understand how the brain reads a space, there is no going back.
The leaders apply the strategic shifts. The staff change their own desks. The room quietly starts working for them. That is the cascade. And it is what the keynote unlocks in 60 minutes, for the cost of one speaker fee.
Three formats
Whether you are running a leadership offsite, a staff training day, or a parent evening, the keynote adapts to your audience without diluting the science.
Format 01
60 to 90 minutes
For executive teams, principal forums, governance days, and senior wellbeing leadership. The strategic case for environmental design as the wellbeing layer underneath performance, retention, and engagement scores. Leaves leaders with what to champion in the next quarter.
Format 02
Half day, in person or virtual
For wider workforces, educator professional learning, and team training. Three focused hours of awareness plus live application. The audience walks out with a personal action plan for the desk, the classroom, the home. By design, never longer than half a day. Energy stays high. Implementation stays sharp.
Format 03
60 to 90 minutes
For parent evenings, school wellbeing forums, and P&F events. How home environments shape a child's regulation, focus, sleep, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. The conversation parents take home and act on by Monday morning.
For Workplaces
Six to nine months of their salary, conservatively. So why are you spending the budget on apps and posters instead of on the room they are sitting in for ten hours a day?
Gallup's State of the Global Workplace puts the global cost of disengagement at US $8.9 trillion. Safe Work Australia's most recent workers' compensation data confirms psychological injury claims are the fastest-growing and most expensive category, sitting at AU $58,000+ per claim and roughly 25 weeks off work. Four times longer than the average physical injury.
Why is most of your wellbeing budget still moving above the neck? Why are the rooms themselves not on the agenda? And what would change for you, in the next quarter, if your highest performer walked back in on Monday and the room she walked into was no longer asking her to recover from it?
This is the keynote that gives your leaders the framework to identify which environmental levers across their offices, sites, and hybrid setups are quietly draining cognitive performance. And which ones, if shifted this week, restore it. No renovation. No capital expenditure. No permission required.
Built for: Big Four professional services firms, banks, mining and infrastructure leadership teams, government departments, and corporate wellbeing summits.
For Schools
The University of Salford's HEAD Project (Barrett et al., 2015), the largest empirical study of physical classroom design ever conducted, looked at 153 classrooms, 27 schools, and 3,766 students over seven years. The finding? Classroom design alone accounted for 16% of variation in pupil learning progress across a single year. The equivalent of the difference between a poor and a strong teacher.
So why are most schools still pouring their wellbeing budget into programs that work above the neck? Why is the same student behaving like two different children in two different classrooms, and no one is asking the room?
What would your school year look like if every student walked into a room that was already supporting their regulation, before any educator had to do a thing? What would it mean for your educators if the rooms they teach in stopped quietly draining them by 11am?
This keynote gives principals, wellbeing leads, and educators the language for what they have already been seeing in their own corridors. It complements every existing wellbeing program. It works at the level of routine, layout, light, and educator awareness, with no capital works required.
Built for: top SA independent schools, the Association of Independent Schools, education department wellbeing teams, principals' associations, and parent forums.
For Conferences and Events
You have programmed them all. You know your audience is hungry for an angle they have not heard from the same eight names on the same circuits. So what about the speaker who is talking about the layer those other speakers are missing, the rooms themselves?
What if the talk that finally landed at your event was the one nobody else is giving? The one your audience leaves still thinking about on the drive home, because something in the room they were sitting in, while listening, suddenly made sense?
Sessions are tailored to your audience, your theme, and your stage time. Whether the booking is a 30-minute keynote, a panel role, or a workshop session, the science adapts without losing its edge.

"The room is not neutral. It is either supporting your team's nervous system, or quietly draining it. The conversation worth having is the one most rooms are still avoiding."
