Privacy Policy
What I do with your information.
Last updated: 14 May 2026
This site is run by one person. I treat your details the same way I would treat a guest stepping into my home — quietly, carefully, and only where they ask to go.
Who I am
This website (happyhealthyhomes.au) is operated by Etienny Trindade, sole trader, based in Adelaide, South Australia. References to "I," "me," and "Happy Healthy Homes" mean the same person.
You can reach me through my contact page for any privacy question.
What I collect, and when
I only collect personal information that you give me on purpose, or that is needed to run this site.
When you opt in to a free guide, the Map, or my newsletter
- Your name (if you give it)
- Your email address
- The form you used and the date you signed up
When you fill in the contact form or email me
- Your name, email address, and any details you share in the message
- The reason for your enquiry (keynote, school, workplace, podcast, press, program, or other)
When you visit the site
- Anonymous analytics from my hosting provider (Netlify): pages viewed, country, referrer, browser type, and bandwidth. This data does not identify you.
- Standard server logs needed to deliver the page to your browser.
When you book a call, program, or speaking enquiry
- Any details you share through the booking or enquiry form, including organisation, role, event details, dates, and budget where relevant.
How I use your information
- To send you the free guide or Map you requested.
- To reply to your enquiry, usually within 48 hours.
- To send occasional emails about new essays, episodes, programs, or speaking news. You can unsubscribe at any time, in one click, from the bottom of any email.
- To deliver any program, keynote, or service you have engaged me for.
- To meet my legal obligations, including tax and business records.
Who I share it with
I do not sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone. The only third parties who see your data are the trusted services I use to actually run this business:
- Flodesk — to send emails and hold the subscriber list.
- Tally — to receive contact and enquiry form submissions.
- Netlify — to host the website and provide anonymous traffic analytics.
- Google Workspace — for my email, calendar, and document storage.
- Stripe or similar payment processors — only if you purchase a paid program or product. I never see or store your card details.
Each of these providers has their own privacy practices. Where possible I use providers that meet recognised international data standards.
Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies — essentially what is needed to load fonts, embed forms, and remember if you have already seen a pop-up. I do not run advertising trackers or third-party retargeting pixels.
How long I keep it
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete you.
- Contact and enquiry messages: for as long as I may reasonably need them for follow-up or business records (typically up to 7 years for tax purposes).
- Anonymous analytics: as long as Netlify retains them by default.
Your rights under Australian privacy law
This policy is written in line with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information I hold about you.
- Ask me to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask me to delete your information, where I am not legally required to keep it.
- Unsubscribe from my emails at any time.
- Make a complaint about how your information has been handled. You can write to me first through my contact page. If you are not satisfied with my response, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Children
This site and its services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided information here, please contact me and I will remove it.
International visitors
If you are visiting from outside Australia, your information may be transferred to and stored in Australia and in any country where my service providers operate. I take reasonable steps to ensure your information is treated with the same level of care wherever it is held.
Updates to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time as the business changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always show the most recent version. Significant changes will be communicated to current subscribers by email.
